The Department of Statistics was established in 2005. It has 6 departments and 9 academic staff. Master's and Doctorate programs are actively continuing in our department. Graduates of thesis-based Master's programs can apply to doctoral programs. Students who successfully complete this program earn a Master's and Doctorate degree.
The aim of the Department of Statistics is to ensure the development of new approaches in the field of statistics by guiding students to use theoretical knowledge and statistical techniques in real life. It is to train internationally competent researchers in all fields related to statistical sciences.
It trains academicians who respect scientific ethics for departments of universities such as Statistics, Actuarial Science, Biostatistics, etc. In addition, they can work in research and statistical analysis units that can work independently.
In our department, we try to provide our students with an education that will compete with other universities nationally and internationally by using all the opportunities of modern education.

Doctoral Degree Course Diagram and ECTS Credits
The doctoral program consists of 240 ECTS credits. During the doctoral program, 7 courses, 1 seminar, 1 doctoral thesis and specialization courses are taken. Doctoral education lasts 8 semesters.
30 ECTS credits must be taken each semester.
Master's Degree Course Diagram and ECTS Credits
The Statistics Department Master's Program consists of 120 ECTS credits. 7 courses, 1 seminar, 1 master's thesis and specialization courses are chosen. Master's education lasts 4 semesters.
