Data Science and Statistics Student Society

The Fırat University Faculty of Science, Department of Statistics Student Society (VEBIST) aims to increase undergraduate students' awareness of statistics and contribute to their future planning. It also aims to ensure that they are informed about developments in statistics by organizing informative meetings on career days and events that connect undergraduate students with experts on professional life after graduation.

VEBIST actively participates in the coordination of the Society's Academic Advisor at national and international congresses, symposiums, and colloquiums, and strives to encourage experienced undergraduate participants in scientific and social fields.

As VEBIST, within the framework of our university and department's vision, we aim to contribute to the graduation of statisticians who are open to useful innovations, capable of thinking from multiple perspectives, able to effectively use their acquired knowledge and skills for the benefit of society in all areas, and capable of playing important roles in planning and determining the country's future.
