Computer Laboratory
The Department of Statistics was established in 1992 within the Faculty of Science at Fırat University and began accepting students in 2005. Following a seven-year establishment period, the department currently operates with five departments and nine academic staff.
In accordance with Council of Ministers Decree No. 2010/175, the Faculty of Arts and Sciences within Fırat University was closed and replaced by the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. Article 7/d-2 of Law No. 2547, as amended by Law No. 2880, stipulated that the departments and departments within the Faculty of Arts and Sciences be incorporated into the newly established Faculty of Science.
The Department of Statistics employs a total of nine faculty members: three professors, three associate professors, one assistant professor, one assistant research assistant, and one lecturer. Our department contributes to science with its education system that can compete at national and international levels and with its studies published in categories such as Q1, Q2, and Q3.
Statistics Computer Laboratory
The Statistics Computer Laboratory is an advanced learning environment designed to help students develop their statistical thinking skills, gain practical experience with analytical approaches, and effectively use modern data analysis tools. The laboratory offers an infrastructure that allows for both the reinforcement of theoretical course material and practical application of real data. The laboratory provides an interactive learning environment that empowers students to put theoretical knowledge into practice.
