Great Success from Fırat University Statistics Department!

Fırat University's Department of Statistics faculty member, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nurhan HALISDEMİR, and her graduate students achieved significant success at Teknofest 2025.

The team, which participated in the "Technological Studies in Psychology" category with their project titled "From Traditional Scales to Artificial Intelligence: A Large Language Model for Depression Assessment," advanced to the finals out of 627 projects, ranking 11th overall in Turkey.

The project aims to offer a new approach to psychological assessment using AI-based methods. Thanks to its innovative nature, it has not only been recognized at Teknofest but has also been advanced to the patent process, establishing its scientific and technological contribution.
