Statistics Department Students Participate in the 18th Statistics Student Colloquium

The 18th Statistics Student Colloquium, held on October 18-19, 2025, was hosted this year by Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University (ÇOMÜ). Numerous statistics students, academics, and researchers from various universities across Turkey attended the colloquium, where young scientists attracted attention with their work on current issues.

İlker Emül and Kerem Sefa Atalan, students from the Fırat University Department of Statistics, presented their original papers, "A Qualitative Study on University Students' Future Anxiety and Views on Technology in the Age of Artificial Intelligence" and "An Investigation of the Effect of Healthy Nutrition on Mental Health in University Students."

The presented papers stood out for their approaches to important issues at both the societal and individual levels from a statistical and qualitative research perspective.

At the end of the colloquium, students of the Fırat University Department of Statistics were congratulated for their successful presentations and expressed their pride in representing the university with their scientific knowledge.
